There’s just over a month to go until the theatrical release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the highly anticipated new adventure featuring Tom Holland’s Spider-Man—now in his fourth “solo” outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe—and, to tide fans over, Sony Pictures just unveiled the film’s new official trailer a few minutes ago, which certainly adds plenty of fuel to the fire.

Peter Parker is indeed in trouble; he can no longer fully control his powers, and to find a solution, he turns to an old friend, Bruce Banner, who, of course, has no memory of him. As if that weren’t enough, threats are coming from all directions, most notably Scorpion, the Hand, and a new, fearsome adversary who could prove to be a greater danger than Peter himself could ever imagine. The film’s official synopsis reads as follows:

Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living in complete solitude, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Fighting crime in a New York City that no longer knows his name, he has devoted himself entirely to protecting his city—a full-time Spider-Man—but as his responsibilities intensify, the pressure triggers a surprising physical transformation that jeopardizes his very existence, while a new and mysterious series of crimes gives rise to one of the most dangerous threats he has ever faced.

The film was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, while the screenplay was written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Producers include Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal, alongside executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Avi Arad, Rachel O’Connor, JoAnn Perritano, and Matt Tolmach. The cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day features the return of Tom Holland as Peter Parker / Spider-Man; Zendaya as MJ; Jacob Batalon as Ned; Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Hulk; Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle / The Punisher; and Zabryna Guevara as Sheila Rivera, previously seen in Daredevil: Resurrection.

New additions to the cast include Michael Mando as Mac Gargan / Scorpion; Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln / Tombstone; and Tramell Tillman as Bill Metzger. They are joined by Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Eman Esfandi, whose roles have not yet been revealed. Produced by Marvel Studios, Columbia Pictures, and Pascal Pictures, and distributed by Sony Pictures, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to hit Italian theaters on July 29.
